All patients who use the Chalfont St Peter Face Teeth Smileclinic – whether they see us just for check-ups or are receiving ongoing treatment – can call on us for emergency dental treatment. When you register with us, we make sure you have our emergency contact details, so you can reach us at the practice or out of hours in case of a dental emergency.
As an emergency dentist, our policy is to see registered patients within 24 hours. If you’re not registered with Face Teeth Smile, we can still see you – just give us a call or use our online booking system to find the earliest available appointment at our Chalfont St Peter practice. We offer flexible slots for urgent dental care; early, or late in the day, and out of normal practice hours.
As we undertake all kinds of general dentistry, we can handle your immediate dental emergency and manage your pain, then follow up with the necessary course of emergency treatment. Thanks to our onsite Chalfont St Peter lab and use of advanced digital dentistry techniques, we can quickly replace lost or broken crowns and veneers, without the need for temporary fixes. If you have a broken, cracked or chipped tooth, that can be filled or crowned.
Severe dental pain, swelling, inability to bite on a tooth or pain from consuming anything hot or cold can all be signs of a dental infection or an abscess. If you have these symptoms, you should seek urgent dental care by contacting Face Teeth Smile immediately. We’ll assess the cause of the pain and provide the necessary emergency dental treatment to alleviate it. That could mean removing the nerve from within the tooth and applying antibiotics directly to the site. Where damage is too severe and the tooth can’t be saved, we may have to remove it. In some dental emergencies, we’ll prescribe antibiotics to tackle any infection.
Patients experiencing severe swelling or difficulty breathing or swallowing should call NHS 111 or visit A&E as a matter of urgency.
