At Face Teeth Smile, we use the latest digital technology to assist in every stage of the dental implant process. During your pre-implant examination, we use a 3D cone beam CT (CBCT) scanner to take a detailed scan of the jaw. This reveals nerves and blood vessels and lets us carefully plan the tooth implant’s placement. Planning like this means there are no surprises during treatment.
During the dental implant process, a titanium screw is first placed into the jawbone to replace the root of the missing tooth. When this screw has formed a union with the bone, a crown is attached to it to replicate the tooth. Cosmetic teeth implants offer many benefits:

- They’re fixed and long-lasting
- They feel and look like natural teeth
- They’re easier to maintain than dentures
To ensure the positioning of your dental implants are perfect, at the Face Teeth Smile Chalfont St Peter clinic, the CBCT scan is combined with a 3D scan of the teeth. Using modern design software, we can place the cosmetic teeth implants virtually, so we know exactly what to expect. A stent (or template) is created and the implants are placed through it. There’s no possibility of the incorrect positioning that could occur with a freehand procedure and, by using digital techniques, we ensure surgery is quicker and recovery time is minimised. When the titanium screw is fully united with the jaw, we expertly craft the crown in our on-site digital dental lab. This is fitted to the titanium screw to complete the dental implant.
Due to the experience of our doctors, if the CBCT scan shows lack of bone or if a sinus lift is required, that is planned as part of the treatment here at FTS.

Our dental implant procedures at Face Teeth Smile near Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire are precisely planned. We usually place dental implants using local anaesthetic. Of course, if you’d prefer, we have a seditionist who can sedate you during the implant treatment to make it a relaxed experience.
The Face Teeth Smile 3D CBCT scan lets us know in advance of dental implant treatment if you don’t have the necessary height and width of bone. In this case, we can augment the bone using a bone graft, which can be done before or at the same time as your cosmetic teeth implant surgery. The extra cost associated with this will be explained during your consultation at our Chalfont St Peter clinic.
At Face Teeth Smile, we recommend planning ahead for cosmetic teeth implants. When a tooth is removed, bone can be lost, making future dental implants difficult. To prevent this, we add bone-graft material at the time of extraction to prevent bone loss. Preserving the bone means you can decide to have implants when you’re ready.

This man has changed my life. Ever since I was young, I always hated my teeth. Dentists said that I would need surgery and braces for 2 years. As a teenager, the thought of wearing a brace never appealed to me. As the years went on and my teeth moved further, I decided to get it sorted. I went to various people to get quotes and was amazed at some prices given to me. However, Dr Raj treated a friend and was recommended. I decided to go and visit and get his opinion. The first thing I noticed was that Dr Raj was focused on the outcome. He was a perfectionist. Price came second. I decided to go for the invisalign, whitening and composite package and never looked back. If there were issues, he was there to sort.
