No, the 3D cosmetic digital scanner, iTero®, that we use at the Face Teeth Smile Chalfont St Peter clinic doesn’t produce the radiation that conventional x-rays do.
At Face Teeth Smile digital dentists, we understand that gagging is a common worry and can be caused by the trays and putty used to take traditional dental impressions. At our Chalfont St Peter practice near Gerrards Cross, all impressions for crowns, veneers and whitening trays are taken using a 3D digital dental scanner. This involves a wand that hovers over the teeth – there’s no direct contact, so no risk of gagging.
While our digital dentists are at work in our on-site Chalfont St Peter lab, you can relax in our luxurious chill-out lounge, enjoy complimentary refreshments and even watch a movie while you wait.
At Face Teeth Smile, we believe in price transparency. As digital dental scanning is our standard procedure, there’s no extra charge for it.

This man has changed my life. Ever since I was young, I always hated my teeth. Dentists said that I would need surgery and braces for 2 years. As a teenager, the thought of wearing a brace never appealed to me. As the years went on and my teeth moved further, I decided to get it sorted. I went to various people to get quotes and was amazed at some prices given to me. However, Dr Raj treated a friend and was recommended. I decided to go and visit and get his opinion. The first thing I noticed was that Dr Raj was focused on the outcome. He was a perfectionist. Price came second. I decided to go for the invisalign, whitening and composite package and never looked back. If there were issues, he was there to sort. Dr Raj wasn't happy with one tooth moving millimeters, so decided to get more invisalign retainers made (free of charge unlike competitors). The whitening was easy and the bonding was a great experience as I witnessed a sculpture creating their masterpiece. I would recommend anyone who is contemplating sorting their teeth to see Dr Raj.
