We’ve created our own teeth whitening systems at Face Teeth Smile in Chalfont St Peter. It’s easy to use and delivers excellent results. By following it, you can maintain whiter teeth for the long term, without incurring a substantial cost.
To begin your tooth-whitening treatment, one of our expert dentists will thoroughly examine your teeth. Photographs are taken to assess their current shade and we’ll agree on the level of whiteness you’re aiming for. You can then choose between our FTS home whitening kit, FTS in-clinic whitening session, or our FTS premium whitening, which is a combination of both the home whitening kit and the in-clinic whitening session.
FTS in-clinic whitening session involves the dentist applying a layer of high-strength whitening gel to your teeth. The gel is activated with a blue heated LED lamp. This process is repeated every 20 minutes for a total of 4 cycles. During this time, your lips, gums, and cheeks are protected, and you get to listen to music or enjoy a movie! The total procedure is around 90 mintues and gives an instant whitening result.
In your FTS home whitening kit, we use digital scans to create bespoke whitening ‘trays’ which are crafted in our on-site digital dental lab. These are precisely moulded to your teeth and will only fit you.
As well as tailor-made trays, your Face Teeth Smile whitening kit includes three large syringes of a whitening gel that’s carefully blended to achieve the shade you want. A syringe of desensitising gel is also included to prevent any sensitivity during your whitening treatment. The teeth whitener gel is placed in the comfortable and discreet trays, and these are worn during the day or overnight for around two weeks. During this time, the shade of your teeth will gradually improve, becoming brighter and whiter.
At Face Teeth Smile’s Chalfont St Peter clinic, our whitening system is a simple and non-invasive way to improve your smile without damaging your teeth. Over time, diet and lifestyle choices can cause your teeth the drop a shade, in which case you can buy top-up gels to refresh their appearance. While teeth whitening is effective on its own, many patients choose to have it done in combination with other treatments like composite bonding, Invisalign® teeth straightening or porcelain veneers.

During the teeth whitening process at Face Teeth Smile’s Chalfont St Peter clinic, you might notice your teeth feel more sensitive to temperature, for example, cold water. By using our bespoke home teeth whitener and following our protocols, this can be minimised. Any sensitivity you do experience is temporary and will stop when your whitening treatment is complete
Enamel is a very hard protective layer on the outer surface of the teeth. The teeth whitener gel doesn’t damage it or the root surface.
Your home whitening trays are customised to fit the shape of your teeth and are made from a durable material, so you can use them again and again. As part of your consultation at Face Teeth Smile in Chalfont St Peter, we’ll show you how to keep them thoroughly clean.
To achieve the best results for teeth whitening, Face Teeth Smile recommend whitening the teeth overnight for a minimum of six hours. If you prefer to do it during the day, you should wear the trays for at least 90 minutes twice a day.

This man has changed my life. Ever since I was young, I always hated my teeth. Dentists said that I would need surgery and braces for 2 years. As a teenager, the thought of wearing a brace never appealed to me. As the years went on and my teeth moved further, I decided to get it sorted. I went to various people to get quotes and was amazed at some prices given to me. However, Dr Raj treated a friend and was recommended. I decided to go and visit and get his opinion. The first thing I noticed was that Dr Raj was focused on the outcome. He was a perfectionist. Price came second. I decided to go for the invisalign, whitening and composite package and never looked back. If there were issues, he was there to sort. Dr Raj wasn't happy with one tooth moving millimeters, so decided to get more invisalign retainers made (free of charge unlike competitors).
